About us

Turkic Atlas is an independent news and encyclopedia site about the Turkic world, published in four languages.

What we do

A daily news feed on one side, a permanent encyclopedia on the other — both in one place. The news tells you what happened today; the encyclopedia explains the history, geography and culture behind it.

Every piece can be read in Azerbaijani, Turkish, English and Russian. The reason is simple: the Turkic world does not speak one language. A reader in Kazakhstan searches in Russian, one in Türkiye in Turkish, an international reader in English — all of them should reach the same information.

The third strand is the archive. A news feed forgets; we do not. Cuisine, music, craft, monuments — the heritage of the Turkic world accumulates and stays.

How we work

• Every news item carries at least one source link

• Images come only from licensed sources and are credited

• Social media videos are never uploaded to our server — they are shown through the platform's own player

• If you spot an error, tell us — we correct it, and we do not hide the correction

What we don't do

The site is not affiliated with any state, party or organisation. We are not an official body and we do not speak on anyone's behalf.

We take no side in border disputes or ethnic and religious conflicts. Our aim is to show a shared culture, not to set anyone against anyone.
