Alysh — belt wrestling

In alysh wrestlers wear trousers, jackets and belts and must hold their opponent's belt throughout the bout, aiming to throw him onto the mat.

Throws score from 1 to 6 points depending on which part of the opponent's body lands on the mat, and the first to reach 6 points wins.

Since 2008 the international wrestling federation, now United World Wrestling, has recognised "wrestling alysh". World championships are held, and it features in the World Nomad Games.
