Baha-ud-Din Naqshband
A Sufi master of Bukhara (1318–1389) and eponym of the Naqshbandi order, one of the most widespread in the world.

Baha-ud-Din Muhammad Naqshband lived in the village of Qasr-i Arifan near Bukhara, leading a simple life and earning his living by his own labour.
The core principle of his path is "Dil ba yor, dast ba kor" — "the heart with God, the hand at work": one can remember God in the midst of everyday life without withdrawing from the world.
The Naqshbandi order spread from Central Asia to the Ottoman lands, India, the Caucasus and Kazan, and his mausoleum and complex near Bukhara are among the most visited shrines.
