Bayraktar TB2
Baykar's armed drone, which played an important role in Azerbaijan's 44-day Patriotic War in 2020.
The Bayraktar TB2 was developed at Baykar under engineer Selçuk Bayraktar. A medium-altitude, long-endurance aircraft, it carries out reconnaissance and strikes with small precision munitions.
It first flew in 2014 and has served with the Turkish armed forces since 2015. In autumn 2020 the Azerbaijani Army used TB2s successfully in the Patriotic War, making the drone known worldwide.
Today the TB2 serves with the armed forces of more than 30 countries. Baykar has since developed the larger Akıncı, the ship-borne TB3 and the unmanned combat aircraft Kızılelma.
