Bibi-Heybat Mosque
A shrine on the Caspian shore south of Baku; its 13th-century mosque was destroyed in 1936 and rebuilt in the 1990s–2000s.

The Bibi-Heybat Mosque was built in the 13th century by the Shirvanshah Farrukhzad over the tomb of Ukeyma khanum, said to be a daughter of Imam Musa al-Kazim, and was a place of pilgrimage for centuries.
In 1936 the Soviet authorities blew it up. Reconstruction in its earlier form began in the 1990s and was completed in the 2000s, and today it is one of Baku's most visited sites.
