Chulyms
A Turkic people of just a few hundred living along the Chulym River. Their language is among the most endangered in the world.
The Chulyms are a Turkic people of the Siberian branch living along the Chulym, a tributary of the Ob, in Tomsk Oblast and Krasnoyarsk Krai. Older sources called them the "Chulym Tatars" or "Tomsk Karagas".
Today only a few elderly people speak Chulym fluently, so UNESCO lists it as critically endangered. The Chulyms are among Russia's small indigenous peoples.
