Dolgans
The northernmost Turkic people in the world. They herd reindeer on the tundra of the Taymyr Peninsula, and their language is very close to Yakut.
The Dolgans are a Turkic people of the Siberian branch living on the Taymyr Peninsula, far north of the Arctic Circle. The people took shape in the 18th–19th centuries as Yakuts, Evenks and other settlers in the area merged.
Dolgan is very close to Yakut. Dolgans traditionally herd reindeer, hunt and fish. They are on Russia's list of small indigenous peoples.
