Doppi
An embroidered square or round skullcap, the national headwear of the Uzbeks.

The doppi is the national headwear of Uzbeks and Uyghurs. The best known is the Chust doppi from Namangan Region, black with four white embroidered "pepper" (qalampir) motifs.
The patterns indicate the wearer's region, age and status: men wear dark caps, while girls wear colourful ones with beads and gold thread.
Doppis are worn at festivals, weddings and religious ceremonies, and embroidering them is a favourite women's craft.
