Ertuğrul Gazi Mosque
Ashgabat's famous four-minaret mosque, a symbol of Turkish–Turkmen friendship.

The mosque is named after Ertuğrul Gazi, father of Osman, founder of the Ottoman state — the Oghuz roots of the Seljuks and Ottomans link Turkmens and Turks.
With its central dome and four minarets it recalls the classical Ottoman mosques of Istanbul, and its interior is richly decorated with fine stained-glass windows.
It is one of Ashgabat's best-known landmarks and an important place of worship for the city's Muslims.
