Rubik's Cube
A puzzle invented in 1974 by the Hungarian sculptor and architecture professor Ernő Rubik — the world's best-selling toy.

Ernő Rubik made the cube in 1974 to teach his students spatial thinking; in Hungary it was first sold as the "Magic Cube" (bűvös kocka) and went worldwide in 1980.
Each of its six faces has nine squares in one of six colours, and each layer turns independently; the goal is to return every face to a single colour.
About 500 million cubes had been sold by 2024, making it the world's best-selling puzzle and toy, and speedcubing competitions are held around the world.
