Running Scared — Eurovision winner (2011)
The song by Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal that won Eurovision for Azerbaijan in 2011, bringing the contest to Baku the following year.
Running Scared won the final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf, Germany, on 14 May 2011. It was performed by the duo Ell & Nikki — Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal.
It was Azerbaijan's first victory, in only its fourth year in the contest. As a result, Eurovision 2012 was held in Baku, at the Baku Crystal Hall built for the occasion.
Azerbaijan has taken part in Eurovision since 2008 and has finished in the top five several times.
