Yusuf Dikeç

Yusuf Dikeç was born in Göksun, Kahramanmaraş. He served for many years in the gendarmerie and has won many medals at world and European shooting championships.

At the Paris 2024 Olympics he won silver with Şevval İlayda Tarhan in the 10 m air pistol mixed team event.

Unlike other shooters, he competed without special lenses or ear protection — in ordinary glasses, one hand in his pocket. The image went around the world and made him one of the most recognisable faces of the Games.
