Zaamin National Park
Uzbekistan's oldest nature reserve, founded in 1926 and called "the Switzerland of Uzbekistan" for its beauty.

Zaamin lies in Jizzakh Region on the northern slopes of the Turkestan Range. It was founded in 1926 as the Guralash reserve and later became a national park.
Juniper forests clothe the slopes, streams run through the valleys and alpine meadows stretch above. Its clean air and cool climate draw people escaping the summer heat of Uzbekistan's plains.
The park has sanatoria, resorts and hiking trails, and in winter there is skiing.
