Afrosiyob high-speed train
Central Asia's first high-speed train, running between Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara.

The Afrosiyob train is named after Afrasiab, the ancient site of Samarkand. The line first linked Tashkent and Samarkand and was extended to Bukhara on 25 August 2016.
The 600-kilometre Tashkent–Bukhara route crosses six regions, and a trip that once took seven hours now takes about 3 hours 20 minutes.
The train has made travel to Samarkand and Bukhara far easier for tourists.
