Chimgan

Chimgan lies in Tashkent Region near the city of Chirchiq, in the Chatkal range of the Western Tian Shan; its highest peak, Greater Chimgan, reaches 3,309 m.

In winter ski and snowboard slopes and lifts operate, while in summer people come for hiking, riding and climbing.

Only about two hours from Tashkent, it is a weekend favourite for the capital's residents and, with the nearby Charvak Reservoir, forms a large resort area.
