Ferenc Mádl
Hungary's second president (1931–2011), a law professor and former education minister.

A professor of private international law, Ferenc Mádl was minister without portfolio in 1990–1993 and education minister in 1993–1994.
He lost the 1995 presidential vote to Göncz, was elected president in 2000 as the governing coalition's candidate and served until 2005.
