Oksana Chusovitina
Artistic gymnast (b. 1975), the only gymnast ever to compete at eight Olympic Games.
Oksana Chusovitina was born in Bukhara and became an Olympic champion with the Unified Team in 1992.
She has competed at the Olympics for three teams — the Unified Team in 1992; Uzbekistan in 1996, 2000, 2004, 2016 and 2020; and Germany in 2008 and 2012 — winning vault silver in Beijing in 2008.
Her career of more than three decades is unique in gymnastics; she is the only gymnast ever to compete at eight Olympic Games.
