Uzbek boxing
One of the world's strongest amateur boxing schools — Uzbek boxers won five golds at Paris 2024.
Boxing is independent Uzbekistan's most successful Olympic sport. At Rio 2016 Uzbek boxers won three golds, and Hasanboy Dusmatov took the Val Barker Trophy as the Games' most stylish boxer.
At Paris 2024 Uzbekistan won eight gold medals, five of them in boxing: Hasanboy Dusmatov, Abdumalik Khalokov, Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev, Lazizbek Mullojonov and Bakhodir Jalolov.
These successes have made Uzbekistan one of the world's leading boxing nations, and thousands of children train in its boxing schools.
