Özgön minaret and mausoleums
An 11th–12th-century minaret and ornate brick mausoleums from the Karakhanid era.

Özgön (Uzgen) is an ancient town in Osh Region at the eastern end of the Fergana Valley, an important political and trading centre in Karakhanid times.
Three mausoleums attributed to Karakhanid rulers stand side by side, their facades decorated with delicate geometric and floral patterns in brick and terracotta — among the most refined examples of Central Asian architecture.
A brick minaret nearby survives from the same period. Today Özgön is also famous for its red rice, considered the best for plov in Kyrgyzstan.
