Pilavuna is one of the best-loved pastries of Cyprus; Turkish Cypriots especially enjoy it at breakfast.

The filling is nor or hellim cheese, egg, raisins, mint and mastic; the top is covered with sesame seeds and the pastry is baked in the oven. Among the island's Greek Cypriots the same pastry is called flaouna.
