Galaalti is a village and spa resort on the wooded slopes of the Greater Caucasus in the Shabran district. Its name — "below the fortress" — refers to Chirag Gala, which rises on a cliff above. The fortress was built in the 5th–6th centuries as part of an ancient defensive system.

The resort's main treasure is its mineral spring. Treatment with its water is at the heart of Galaalti's modern health and recreation centre.

Clean mountain air, forest walks and the trail up to the fortress have made Galaalti a favourite for both treatment and a quiet break.
