Salamat Sadykova
Folk singer (b. 1956) known as "the Voice of Kyrgyzstan", a People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Salamat Sadykova was born in 1956 in the village of Kyzyl-Jol in Batken Region and is one of the best-loved performers of folk song.
She became a People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic and an Honoured Artist of Kazakhstan in 1995, and received the Toktogul State Prize in 2004.
One of her albums is called The Voice of Kyrgyzstan, a name the public has given to the singer herself. In 2026 she received the title "Pride of the Kyrgyz Republic".
