Tufandag
A year-round mountain resort in Gabala: cable cars, ski runs and views of forested mountains.
The Tufandag mountain resort lies near the town of Gabala, on the forested slopes of the Greater Caucasus. Its first stage opened on 3 January 2014.
Cable cars carry visitors up the mountain. In winter there are ski and snowboard runs; in summer the cable car offers views over the forests and the Gabala valley.
Together with Gabala's other sights — Lake Nohur, waterfalls and the ruins of ancient Gabala — Tufandag has made the area one of Azerbaijan's favourite holiday spots.
