TürkmenÄlem 52°E satellite
Turkmenistan's first communications satellite, launched from the United States on a Falcon 9 in 2015.

Built by France's Thales Alenia Space, the satellite was launched on 27 April 2015 from Cape Canaveral aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9.
It sits in geostationary orbit at 52° East, is operated by Turkmenistan's National Space Agency and has an expected service life of 15 years.
Of its 38 transponders, 26 operate as TürkmenÄlem and 12 as MonacoSAT, using an orbital position controlled by Monaco; it provides television, internet and communications in Turkmenistan.
