János Áder
Hungary's fifth president (b. 1959), who served two terms from 2012 to 2022.
A lawyer who took part in the 1989 Round Table Talks, János Áder was an MP in 1990–2009, Speaker in 1998–2002 and then a Member of the European Parliament.
Elected president in 2012 and re-elected in 2017, he was active on water resources and climate change.
