Azerbaijan judokas finish the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam with two gold, one silver and two bronze medals

Azerbaijan's national judo team finished the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam, which ended on October 31, with five medals and first place in the team standings. Two of the medals were gold, one silver and two bronze.

Balabay Agayev won the 60 kg category and Konul Aliyeva the 48 kg. Rashad Yelkiyev (66 kg) and Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) took bronze. On the final day Ushangi Kokauri, competing above 100 kg, beat three opponents on his way to the final, where he lost to Georgia's Irakli Demetrashvili and settled for silver.

In the over-78 kg category Madina Kaisinova lost the bronze-medal bout to Italy's Erika Simonetti and finished fifth.
