On the fourth day of the World Judo Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan won two medals in the men's -81 kg. Zelim Tckaev beat opponents from Moldova, the UAE, Belgium and Kazakhstan on his way to the final, where he lost to Georgia's Tato Grigalashvili after a long, hard-fought golden score and took silver.

In the same category Omar Rajabli beat a Slovenian opponent in the repechage and then threw Kazakhstan's Abylaikhan Zhubanazar for ippon in the bronze-medal contest to finish third in the world.

That brings the hosts' tally to four medals: gold for Ahmad Yusifov (-60 kg), silver for Zelim Tckaev (-81 kg) and bronze for Rashid Mammadaliyev (-73 kg) and Omar Rajabli (-81 kg). Azerbaijan is second in the medal table behind Japan. The championships continue at the National Gymnastics Arena until 11 October.
