NVIDIA's Jensen Huang in Astana: Kazakhstan invited to become a global Physical AI hub

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received NVIDIA co-founder and president Jensen Huang at the Akorda residence in Astana on 23 October. The head of state said the visit would give strong momentum to bilateral cooperation.
Tokayev noted that artificial intelligence and digitalization are national priorities and that 2026 has been declared the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in Kazakhstan. He thanked Huang for NVIDIA's role in building the country's AI ecosystem and welcomed the company's partnership with Higgsfield.
Huang praised Tokayev's vision of making Kazakhstan an “AI nation” and proposed that it become a global hub for Physical AI. In his view the field needs energy and a population skilled in science, maths and technology, and Kazakhstan has both. Pointing to the past year's partnerships with Firebird AI KZ and Kazakhtelecom and NVIDIA's investment in Higgsfield, he called it “the beginning of a very long journey.”
At the end of the meeting Tokayev presented Huang with the Order of Dostyk, 1st degree, for his contribution to the development of AI in Kazakhstan.
