Kazakhstan's Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev paid a working visit to Switzerland on October 20–22. The Kazakhstan–Switzerland Business Forum was held in Zurich, organised by the QazTrade Trade Policy Development Centre with the Kazakh embassy in Switzerland and with support from Switzerland Global Enterprise, the country's investment and trade promotion agency.

About 90 Swiss companies and a delegation of Kazakh manufacturers took part. Memoranda with an estimated combined value of around $46 million were signed in trade, commercial real estate and industrial cooperation, including one between QazTrade and the Joint Chamber of Commerce to expand trade and business ties.

Talks covered Swiss participation in modernising Kazakhstan's energy and municipal infrastructure, including smart grids, efficient heating, digital metering, and water and wastewater management. Both sides agreed to continue the dialogue. Bilateral trade reached $1.12 billion in January–August 2026, up 19.3% year on year.
