Turkic women's diplomacy forum and a “From Common Roots to a Common Future” panel to run alongside the OTS summit in Ankara

The 13th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of Turkic States will take place in Ankara on 29–30 October. Two events devoted to women of the Turkic world are planned among the summit's side programme on 30 October, Anadolu Agency reported.

The organiser is the Women's Branches Presidency of the AK Party headquarters, headed by Tuğba Işık Ercan. The first event is a forum titled “Women in Diplomacy in the Turkic World”, which will discuss women's diplomacy and their role in politics; ministers, lawmakers and academics are expected to attend.

The second is a panel, “From Common Roots to a Common Future: Turkic World Women”. It will look at what it means to be a woman in politics, with stories, struggles and a shared future as its themes, and representatives from Turkic countries will share experience in organising and in women's leadership. Türkiye's Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş will speak on women's solidarity and working together.
