Abdullah Gül
Türkiye's eleventh president (b. 1950); the Turkic Council, today's Organization of Turkic States, was founded during his term in 2009.

An economist and MP for Kayseri from 1991, Abdullah Gül was prime minister in 2002–2003 and deputy prime minister and foreign minister in 2003–2007, and was elected president in 2007.
During his term, on 3 October 2009, the Nakhchivan Agreement created the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States — the Turkic Council. He completed his term in 2014.
