Erdoğan hosts Tokayev with a state ceremony at the Presidential Complex as talks begin

On 28 October, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with an official ceremony at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.

The anthems of both countries were played, Tokayev inspected the honour guard and the two leaders introduced their delegations to each other. They then posed for the press in front of the Turkish and Kazakh flags.

The presidents moved on to bilateral talks. No official readout of the talks has been released yet; the visit continues until 30 October, and Tokayev will also take part in the Organization of Turkic States summit in Ankara.
