On October 30, Kazakhstan's Vice President Erlan Karin presented state awards at the Akorda palace on behalf of President Tokayev to cultural and artistic figures from Central Asian countries. Six people received the Order of Dostyk, second class.

The recipients are singers Mirbek Atabekov, Parahat Amandurdyyev and Sevara Nazarkhan, restoration artist Taalaibek Usubaliyev, actor Batyr Charyev and conductor Kamoliddin Urinbayev. The awards recognise their contribution to friendship and cultural ties among the peoples of the region.

Karin said art knows no borders and thanked the laureates for helping younger people understand the cultures and traditions of neighbouring countries.
