New health facilities in Turkmenistan: a 400-guest treatment complex at the Archman spa and three international medical centres in Ashgabat

A new building complex opened on 9 October at the famous Archman sanatorium in the Bäherden district of Ahal province, with Turkmenistan's National Leader and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, attending. The four-storey treatment and residential building is designed for 400 guests and has hydrogen-sulphide and mineral baths, a renovated mineral-water pump room, a 400-seat restaurant, a gym and children's play areas. The complex has received international quality certificates.
The Archman sanatorium has operated since 1915 and is known for its healing mineral waters, offering mineral baths, balneotherapy, drinking cures and physiotherapy. The new complex expands its capacity and is meant to develop the country's health tourism.
The next day, 10 October, three more medical facilities opened in Ashgabat with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in attendance: an International Scientific and Clinical Oncology Centre, a Dental Centre and an International Paediatrics Centre. They were built under the state "Saglyk" (Health) programme and have received certificates from international organisations.
