Tokayev at AI forum: Kazakhstan's IT exports top $1 billion

Speaking at the AI & Digital Bridge 2026 international forum on 1 October, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming industry, finance, education, science and public administration, and called for responsible development and international cooperation.

He said Kazakhstan's IT services exports exceeded $1 billion last year and that Kazakh digital solutions are used in more than 100 countries; the country has already adopted a Law on Artificial Intelligence and a Digital Code.

On the sidelines he met leaders of global technology and investment companies to discuss AI and data centre projects.
