Triathlon
Swimming, cycling and running in one race — the Alanya Triathlon has been on the world calendar since 1990.

In triathlon athletes swim, cycle and run without a break, and the transition times between legs count towards the result. The Olympic distance is a 1.5 km swim, a 40 km ride and a 10 km run, and there is also a mixed relay.
History
Modern triathlon was born in San Diego, USA, in 1974; the first Ironman (3.8 km + 180 km + 42.2 km) was held in Hawaii in 1978. World Triathlon was founded in 1989. Triathlon has been an Olympic sport since Sydney 2000, and the mixed relay was added in 2020.
Major competitions
The Olympic Games, the World Triathlon Championship Series, the Ironman World Championship (Hawaii), the European Championships and the European Cup series.
