Sunday and Monday after the first spring full moon; late March – April· Holiday
Easter
The greatest Christian feast; Easter Monday is a day off by law in Hungary.

Easter (Húsvét) is the greatest Christian feast, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. It falls on the Sunday after the first spring full moon, so its date varies between 22 March and 25 April. In Hungary Easter Monday is a public holiday by law.
The loveliest Hungarian Easter tradition is the decorated egg (hímes tojás), painted with fine folk patterns in wax and dye. In villages the Monday custom of locsolkodás lives on: boys recite verses and sprinkle girls with perfume or water, and the girls give them painted eggs.
The festive table
The festive table holds boiled ham, eggs, horseradish and sweet bread, and festive services are held in churches.
