The Friday before Easter; late March – April· Holiday
Good Friday
A day off by law in Hungary since 2017.

Good Friday (Nagypéntek), the Friday before Easter, is when Christians commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus. Since 2017 it has been a public holiday by law in Hungary.
Its date depends on Easter, so it changes each year, falling between late March and April. Church bells are silent and quiet services are held; many families do not eat meat that day.
Easter week
Together with Easter Monday, Good Friday gives Hungary its longest spring break.
